Meetings

The Annual Meetings of the SCUR are open to all interested scientists. The meetings have technical workshops and offer trainings in practical aspects of cutaneous ultrastructural research. The ultrastructural studies are the focal points of the Society, but studies using other microscopical techniques are welcomed:

1. LM and EM Morphology
2. LM and EM Immunohistochemistry
3. LM and EM in Situ Hybridization
4. Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy
5. Multiphoton-Tomography
6. Microdialysis
7. Scanning Probe Technique
8. AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy), Molecular-biological Techniques and Mutation Analysis
9. Molecular-biological Techniques and Mutation Analysis
10. Dermatopathology

The ABSTRACTS of the meetings are published in a major Dermatological journal.

Usually every 4 years there will be held a Joint Meeting with the Society for Skin Structure Research (SSSR, Japan)

The next Joint Meeting with the SSSR to be the 40th Ann. Meeting of the SCUR, SALZBURG 2013


AWARDS
The Society awards the best oral and the best poster presentation. In addition, a travel grant is offered to young members (up to 35 years) of the SCUR. This grant can be requested by applying to the Secretary. An Application form (see TRAVEL GRANT APPLICATION) must be sent to the SCUR Secretary at least 1 month before the beginning of the Annual Meeting.
