  • Allergic contact dermatitis: identification of allergen-specific effector T cell types and regulatory (cell-based) mechanisms, cross-reactivity studies (using the retest model for in in vivo and (clonal) T cells for in vitro studies)
  • Irritant contact dermatitis: identification of genetic risk factors for the development of irritant contact dermatitis
  • In vivo and in vitro studies on the potential role of metal contact allergy in patients with intra-oral complaints.
  • Development of improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in patients with allergy to insulin and/or insulin-additives

  • Tumor immunology: development of dendritic cell-based vaccines, aiming at T cell-mediated immunity; (reversal of) immunological tolerance
